Is it a fish? Or a reptile? Fun facts in the capti Is it a fish? Or a reptile? Fun facts in the caption ⬇️ Meet the banded sea krait. 😲 Banded sea kraits are considered marine reptiles because they hunt for eels on coral and rocky reefs. Like the sea turtle, saltwater crocodile, and other reptiles, these snakes must come ashore to nest. They must also occasionally drink freshwater and seek out coastal sources of water for that purpose. Banded sea kraits can spend an average of 15 to 30 minutes underwater before returning to the surface for air. Female banded sea kraits can be up to three times heavier than males. They typically eat larger conger eels, while males eat smaller moray eels. Despite being much smaller than the eels they feed on, banded sea kraits swallow their prey whole, then return to land to digest their meal, which may take several weeks. Banded sea kraits are venomous snakes. They use their venom to paralyze prey. Aren't they cool? 😎 🐍 Facts from oceana.org #funfacts #didyouknow #wildlifefacts #wildlife #plasticfish #plasticfishing #plasticart #artist #craftsforkids #craftingwithkids #creativityforkids #seasnake #snakes #cuteart #recycle #litterpicking #beachcleanup #nolittering #litterart

Not the prettiest underwater creature... Meet the Not the prettiest underwater creature... Meet the zebra moray eel 🦓🐟 At rest, a moray breathes through its mouth, flashing a set of numerous teeth. This may make them look mean, but they’re actually breathing!! They attack only when hungry or provoked. This fellow can swim up to 40m depth! Unlike most other fish, moray eels don’t have scales, so to protect themselves against scrapes and parasites, they ooze a slimy coating of mucus over their thick muscular bodies. #plasticfish #plasticfishing #litter #litterart #artwork #artforkids #craftingwithkids #craftsforkids #funfacts #animalfacts #reduce #reuse #recycle #plasticsoup #fishfacts #animalkingdom #underwateranimals #underwater #litterpicking #beachcleanup
